Antipolo Church or Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Antipolo


Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception of Antipolo - also known as Antipolo Simbahan (Antipolo Church) to commuters, pilgrims, or tourists going to Antipolo - is a famous Roman Catholic cathedral in Antipolo City that attracts thousands of pilgrims yearly during the holy week.
The cathedral is the house of the image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, brought by a Spanish Governor General named Juan Niño de Tabora.

It was completed in 1632 but had been damaged again for several times because of fire, earthquakes, and during World War 2.

The current design was designed by Architect Jose L. de Ocampo, which was completed in 1954.

During the month of May, thousands of devotees pilgrim to Antipolo church on foot coming from different parts of surrounding cities and provinces.
