Suman sa Lihiya

Suman sa Lihiya

Suman sa Lihiya is one of many varieties of rice cake made and originated in the Philippines.
It is made of soaked glutinous rice or sticky rice combined with coconut milk; processed with lye water to add its unique flavor and its yellowish color; wrapped with banana leaf; and boiled for two or more hours.

It is served with latik, a syrup made of brown sugar and coconut milk.

This rice cake is one of best seller pasalubong (homecoming treat) in Antipolo right after going to their famous church.
